Course Overview

The ILM Leadership and Management programmes aim to develop the ability of the learner to research and focus upon contemporary management problems and opportunities.

 

The programme draws on key aspects of management, specifically human resource management, organisational behaviour, marketing, enterprise, strategic and financial management, combining theory with practical experience and application.

 

The qualifications are made up of a wide range of units covering core management skills such as understanding how to organise and delegate, skills in communication, team leadership, change, innovation and managing people and relationships.

 

This flexibility in unit choice allows the qualification to be tailored to meet the needs of the individual employer.

Who is the course for?

This qualification is ideal if you are have management responsibilities but no formal training and are serious about developing your abilities.

 

The course is particularly suited to:

 

  • Practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management.
  • Managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.

What is the assessment method?

Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management


A minimum of 4 credits and a maximum of 12 Credits. 
A minimum of 2 units, with all units taken from Group 1.

 

 

Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management


A choice of optional units from Groups 1 and 2, with a maximum of 6 credits from Group 2.
(We will work with you and your organisation to select the most appropriate units.)

What is the duration of the course?

Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management

 

Time commitment: minimum 11 hours structured learning, plus self-study, project work and assignments.

 

 

Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management


Time commitment: minimum 29 hours structured learning, plus self-study, project work and assignments.
