Forces Transition

Dedicated to supporting Armed Forces through transition.

Syracuse Managed Solutions’ are dedicated to supporting Armed Forces leavers through transition and resettlement. The Company director and the majority of our trainers all come from Armed Forces backgrounds. SMS are sensitive towards the needs of Forces Leavers and have a clear understanding of the transition to civilian life.

SMS understand that Forces Leavers have been away from the civilian learning environment and employment arena for a long period of time. We provide the relevant support and advice to help assist forces leavers in making the correct decision.

In order to further assist the transition process into civilian life and to secure long-term sustainable employment SMS have identified some of the training and development needs, which are unique to forces leavers. To this end, SMS have developed a mechanism which is designed specifically for forces leavers with the aim of delivering high quality “learner focused” training, support and aftercare, as follows:

Assess > Identify > Consultation > Training > Aftercare > Signposting

This process includes a full analysis of the learners requirements and needs through an in depth review of their skills and abilities, sector experience and any training and qualifications that they currently hold. Full learner support and after care is provided, including signposting to our forces resettlement career planning and CV support service in conjunction our partners.

Managing Skill Fade
When a delegate has completed their chosen training we also strongly advise them to come back and complete regular refresher modules with us that we offer at a nominal fee. The ultimate outcome of well planned continuing professional development is that it safeguards the public, the employer, the professional and the professional’s career.
