Who is the course for?

Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training (RQF) has been developed to meet the requirements of trainers who wish to deliver scenario-based conflict management training. The qualification is suitable for delivery across a wide range of sectors and is of particular benefit to those delivering training in a customer-facing role. The qualification also meets the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for those delivering the license to practice qualifications which include scenario-based conflict management training.

The ELITE programme is intended for trainers who want to deliver physical intervention training within the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision. It covers the knowledge and understanding of the areas that are relevant to the role of the trainer delivering Physical Intervention.

On successful completion of the course candidates will be given the full Elite Training Pack. This pack is provided under a Licence, which will enable you to deliver the Level 2 Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry programme through any of the SIA recognised awarding bodies.

How long will it take?
This qualification must be undertaken over a minimum of 5-days.

Topics Covered
These include how communication can be used to solve problems and reduce the likelihood of conflict, factors that influence human responses in conflict situations, how to reduce risks and good practice to follow after conflict situations and assess the training environment to reduce risks in preparation for physical intervention training and assess physical intervention skills.

Assessment Method

Conflict Management Assessment Method

Unit 1: Managing conflict in the workplace when dealing with Customers, Service Users, or the Public.
Assessed by a 30-question multiple-choice examination.

Unit 2: Delivering Scenario-based conflict management training
Assessed by a portfolio of evidence.

Physical Intervention Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence, a practical demonstration, and a multiple-choice examination.

Unit 1: Physical Intervention Skills within the Private Security Industry
Assessed in two parts. Part 1 is a practical test and part 2 is a written test. Learners must achieve a 100% pass mark in both tests.
